Okay kids,
I hope you guys are aware of My Chemical Romance's new album. Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys has been out since 22nd of November. I absolutely love it, it's amazing. However, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is still my favourite album.
Haha that's all I wanted to say.

FRICK
Sorry kids,
I should have checked my work before publishing. Oh well, learn from my fail. The song name was actually Growing Up (Falling Down). I feel like a total idiot. It may have something to do with the fact that I just got home from a 20 hour bus trip which I did not sleep on. Anyways. I apologise. I'll try not to make that mistake again.

Wow, it's been so long!
Hello, and my apologies, kids.
I know this is EXTREMELY late but I've been busy doing nothing. I was actually out of the state for about six days and I was kinda bored when I had down time. Which made me start to think about how much I want to write another blog post for you all. Really, I've been listening to all the same music. I need people to give me albums, guys. I also need a life. But that's another story.
Today I'll be reviewing an album I just found lying around the house that I didn't know I had: The Living End's self titled album. Who knew my 'rents used to like punk? Not me. I hope I never end up liking country like they do... *shudder of horror*
So this album is an oldie of theirs and it's really cool. It's much more punk than White Noise, which is probably the only way you would know of The Living End... story of my life. That's the only song I knew of theirs until I found this piece of gold. Because of White Noise, I never thought much of The Living End. However, nowadays you're very likely to see me singing and dancing very badly along to amazing tracks like Prisoner of Society, Bloody Mary and Falling Down (Growing Up).
The whole album is really catchy but I find I have Falling Down (Growing Up) stuck in my head... a LOT. I would definitely recommend you listen to this album. Yes, you will get songs stuck in your head. But they are really really cool. And seriously, life's always better with a soundtrack.
If you have any suggestions about what I should review, send me a formspring question at http://www.formspring.me/FiercetotheCore and I'll try and get it done ASAP. Keep in mind, I may take a while.
Ta, kids.

Oops...
Hey kids,
Sorry I've taken so long to get this post up. We need to renegotiate this "weekly update" thing... Let's change it to "whenever I remember/feel like it". Okay, glad that's sorted.
I've recently rediscovered pop-punk/post-hardcore band My Chemical Romance (yes, they are now my favourite band) and I have Timothy to thank for that. I will be reviewing their 2004 album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge which leads on from their first album (I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love) which is about two lovers whose town is overrun by vampires. They run and just when they think they're safe, the vampires catch up to them and bite her. He has to kill her and eventually dies himself. In Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, he makes a deal with the Devil to restore he and his lover to life.. if he brings 1000 evil men to hell.
The album is full of amazing songs that make me want to laugh, cry and dance all at the same time. I am going to share with you the three songs which I think are the best from the album and explain why I love them.
This Is What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison
This song is my favourite from the album because it starts with a quiet, jazzy piano and then only after two lines of lyrics gets into an awesome guitar intro. The intro then transitions into the verse more completely and the listener is literally drawn to the music. My favourite lines in the song are:
Well I miss my mom!
Will they give me the chair,
Or lethal injection, or swing from a rope if you dare;
Ah nobody knows, all the trouble I seen!
Also, the little laugh at the very end always makes me smile.
Thank You For The Venom
I adore this song because it just gets straight into it with an amazing guitar intro that makes my heart flutter a little. The awesomeness proceeds to the chorus where my favourite lines reside.
And give me all your hopeless hearts,
And make me ill.
I'm Not Okay (I Promise)
I love this song because it just makes me want to dance (trust me, not a good thing, I'm terrible at dancing). There isn't much I can say about this song because the sheer awesomeness just drowns out my thought processes. These lyrics might have something to do with it.
Forget about the dirty looks,
The photographs your boyfriend took,
You said you read me like a book but the pages are all torn and frayed.
Please leave comments and let me know if you listened to the album or not, if you think my review was accurate and give suggestions about what album I should review next.

About Time , Too...
Hey guys,
Welcome to Music Among Pizza. Strange name, you say? Well you're lucky it wasn't The Music Dumpster (so close). I spent a LONG time trying to make up a name that would show I wanted to talk about music AND sound cool... Most of the names I came up with did neither. So after much "um"ing and "ah"ing and tiresome discussion with my good friend, Tim, I turned to a name generator. Yes, a name generator. A band name generator to be exact. It also came up with a load of nonsensical names but a few were quite good. I settled for Music Among Pizza and Tim verified that it radiated awesomeness. So, my friends, welcome to Music Among Pizza!
In this blog I am going to review music from bands some people may not have heard of. Indie/rock bands, metalcore, pop/punk. I will be constantly going to friend's places to listen to their music and eventually let you know what it is like. Shall be seeing you shortly,
